It's in the post!

Well today I did it! I did what I have been wanting to do since way back in June when specualtion first started. I'm so stoked I can't believe it's going to be here tomorrow.. "Oh get the the point" you say. Fine, I will. I bought myself a Canon EOS 40D. Yes, I know it's awesome!

As for the trusty 350D it's getting passed down along with my 17-85mm lens to my darling wife who I might add I bought the camera for in the first place. :) I'll also be getting myself a Sigma 10-20mm lens for landscape work in the next few weeks to replace the 17-85mm.

Specs:

* 10.1 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor
* DiG!C III Image Processor
* 6.5 fps (up to 75 in a single burst)
* 9-point AF
* ISO 100-1600 (expandable to 3200 via Custom Fctn)
* Spot Metering
* Live View Mode
* Picture Style Modes
* EOS Integrated Cleaning System
* 3.0" LCD Screen

Other news

In other news I've gone motorsport crazy over the last month or so. I think I may have found my calling. I'm going to the 'East Coast nationals' at WSID in Sydney this coming weekend where I plan on catching up with my great 'DA friend' danielsun [link] This should be a fantastic day, I've not been to see a top fuel event for about 15 years so keep an eye on my gallery over the weekend.
